Sample ballots will be mailed out no later than 20 days prior to early voting, but can be mailed out earlier. Please allow a few days after the deadline to receive your sample ballot, as the deadline is specific to when the ballots must be delivered to USPS.

If the deadline has passed and you still haven't received your sample/mail-in ballot, verify the following:  

• • Did you opt out of receiving a mail-in ballot by completing the Mail Ballot Preference Form?    
• • Verify that you are registered to vote and that the mailing address on your registration is correct here. 
  • • If incorrect, you can update your registration via the Secretary of State website. 
    • • If within 14 days of election, you must vote in-person! 
  • • Election mail is not forwardable; therefore, if your mailing address is incorrect, you will not receive one at your current address.

You can view your sample ballot online by visiting our website. You also have the option of requesting that one be mailed out of the Registrar of Voter's Office or you can come to the office and pick one up at 1001 E 9th St, Bldg. A, Room 135, Reno NV 89512.

Additionally, you can check when your mail-in ballot was mailed out by visiting our website. Typically, it can take?3-5 business days to reach you from the time it was mailed. If it still has not reached you, you can contact our office and speak to the Mail-in Ballot team to discuss options for re-issuing.
