When going to the DMV, there is a voter registration form that must be completely filled in. If you do not choose a party then the information comes to the ROV as either “Other” or “Nonpartisan.”

• The option of “Other” is not allowed in the Washoe County election system, therefore those voters become registered nonpartisan and mailers are sent out for voters to confirm.
• To avoid this, we recommend residents completely fill out the voter form and not assume that their previous party will carry over.
