Library Meeting Rooms

Category: Library

New! ROOMs are "soundproof privacy pods" and you can now find them at several Washoe County Library locations. These "Zoom ROOMs" are perfect for virtual meetings, online interviews, and other times when a quiet workspace is needed.

Spaces designed for one user are now available at the Downtown Reno, South Valleys, Spanish Springs, and Sparks Libraries, and larger ROOMs with additional technology designed for up to four users can be found at the North Valleys and Incline Village Libraries. An individual ROOM will also be installed during the Sierra View Library renovation. Most ROOMs will soon have reservations enabled.

Funds for this project have been provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Nevada State Library, Archives and Public Records.

The North Valleys and Sierra View Libraries' meeting rooms are currently unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Washoe County Library System offers meeting rooms at most larger libraries, available for use by government agencies, community groups, and individuals. All potential meeting room users should review and be familiar with all applicable library policies, including the Meeting Room Policy and the Unattended Children Policy. Face coverings are recommended for all staff and for all visitors ages 2 and up to Washoe County Libraries.

The following table shows meeting room spaces available to the public and the equipment and resources at each library. To reserve a meeting room, click a “Reserve Now” link in the table, or click here to view all our reservable spaces. To learn more about reserving a room, you can watch this short video.

Occupancy rates are strictly enforced by the fire marshall. Depending on additional equipment brought into the room, these rates may be reduced to ensure the safe evacuation of the room in the event of an emergency.

In addition to the amenities listed below, the Sparks Library offers assisted listening devices in its meeting room and the Downtown Reno Library auditorium features a Steinway grand piano.

Study rooms for small groups are available at the Northwest Reno Library (2), South Valleys Library (3), and Spanish Springs Library (3). These rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
