Instructions to request a certified copy of name change order

Cost for each copy: $4.50

One can request a certified copy by mail or in person in District Court office.

If one personally cannot come into District Court office, one can have anyone come in and purchase these copies for one. Instructions below:

 

By mail:

 

Send in a written request to:

 

Second Judicial District Court

Attn:  Mail Desk

Reno, NV  89501

 

Include the following information with your request:

  • Case number (CV19-01605) and your name

  • Indicate if you need certified copies of the Name Change Order filed 9/11/19

  • Your contact info: name, address and telephone number

  • Self-addressed, stamped envelope

  • Payment must be in the form of a money order, cashier's check or business check made payable to Second Judicial District Court.  Personal checks or cash are not accepted by mail.

 

In Person:

 

Anyone can come into our office and view public documents on our public terminals and request copies. They need to have the information noted above.  Payment can be made in person by cash, money order, personal check or credit card (VISA, MASTERCARD ONLY) but the ID of the person presenting the payment by personal check or credit card must match the name on credit card or check.  Debit cards are not accepted.
