How can I make corrections and/or revisions to my Building Permit?

To make corrections and/or revisions to a building permit, please physically bring in your corrections and/or revisions to the Building Division.

The Building Divisions hours of operation are:

  • Monday through Friday – 7:30a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Located at: 1001 E Ninth Street, Building A, 2nd floor, Reno, NV 89520-0027

Below please see the difference between corrections and revisions:

Corrections: Corrections are resubmittals that applicants bring in as a response to the plans examiners review (correcting/fixing the drawings due to deficiencies in meeting code requirements).

Revisions: Revisions are changes that the applicant makes due to forces outside our department ( like budget, client changes, site obstacles…etc).

If Corrections (required for plan review comments) or Revisions (alterations made to plans by applicant during construction) are needed, see below on what and how to submit. 
 
Plan Sheet Requirements:
  • Corrections
    • Replace corrected plan sheets in the electronic full set of plans and provide a Response Letter
    • Upload new plan set with corrected sheets to permit under <Record Info><Attachments>
  • Revision
    • Upload Response Letter and revised sheets only to record under <Record Info><Attachements>
