Does somone need to be present during an inspection?

It is preferred that the permit applicant (contractor or owners authorized agent) be present for an inspection in case the inspector requires access, has questions or is not able to approve your inspection. The approved plans, other approved documents and permit card must be on site as well.
Building Inspection App: Download the Washoe County Building Inspection App by visiting the App Store or Google Play. The App also shows the time and inspectors name the day of the inspection.
Within the app there is also a phone icon that will connect you directly to your inspector and you can discuss with him/her if he/she needs you present at the inspection.
